The Growing Roots Grant 2026 supports new and emerging youth-led projects working on climate justice, advocacy, and community resilience. This global small-grants programme combines funding with mentorship to help grassroots initiatives strengthen their impact and sustainability.
If you’re a young changemaker building solutions in your community, this could be the support you need to grow your work.
Eligibility:
• Youth-led groups where the majority of decision-makers are aged 18–35
• New or emerging initiatives (generally active for less than one year)
• Informal or unregistered groups are welcome to apply
• Open to groups in the Global South, including Asia and Southeast Asia
Description:
The grant supports projects that strengthen community voice, build local resilience, and advance climate justice. This can include advocacy campaigns, storytelling and narrative change, civic engagement, or developing community-based solutions.
Beyond funding, selected groups receive mentorship, capacity-building, and tailored support to strengthen leadership, communications, and long-term sustainability.
