Deadline 31st Oct | Age 18-35 | Are you passionate about the future of ASEAN? Do you have an idea of how to make a positive change in your community, but are in search of mentorship and financial assistance to make it happen?
The 2020 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative’s (YSEALI) Seeds for the Future grants competition can help turn your ideas into action.
The competition, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides funding of up to $15,000 for the region’s most promising young leaders to carry out projects that improve their communities, countries and the region. Projects cover one of the four YSEALI themes: Civic Engagement, Economic Growth, Education, and Sustainable Development.
In 2020, YSEALI Seeds for the Future will build on the diverse achievements of this year’s grantees, who have successfully implemented 21 projects across all ten ASEAN member states and Timor-Leste. Included among the 21 grantees are an Indonesian ethical entrepreneurship boot camp and a unique STEM learning app from Cambodia.
To be eligible, you must be a registered YSEALI member aged 18 to 35 from one of the 10 ASEAN nations and Timor-Leste. Applicant teams of at least three members must submit a detailed proposal, budget, and other supporting documentation. Projects that involve more than one country are encouraged.
