The Ministry of Development through the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation is organizing the Floating Waste Collector Conceptual Design Competition open to students in post-secondary, technical and higher education institutions who may work in teams to develop a ‘fit-for-purpose’ design that is cost-effective and cost-efficient
Terms and Conditions:
- The competition is open to post-secondary, technical and higher institutions in Brunei Darussalam.
- There is no restriction on the number of submission per institution, but only ONE (1) conceptual design submission per group is allowed. Participation in both categories are encouraged.
- The submission must be the work of the participating group and not initiated by any other party.
- The competition runs from 15 August 2019 to 15 November 2019. Entries after this date will not be accepted. Extension(s) may be considered and shall be informed accordingly.
- By submitting the conceptual design, the institution agree for it to be referred to / published / socialized in whatever appropriate and relevant platform(s).
- The conceptual design(s) that has the best potential to be developed into a prototype may be selected as the winner(s) and may be engaged for the development stagei.e. prototype development.
- The prototype(s) may then be selected as the mechanism(s) to be used in the Sungai Brunei cleanup project.
- The winning conceptual design submission shall be notified directly via phone call or e-mail.
