The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) will be held in the Philippines in August 2021 (moved from August 2020) focusing on the theme of Education Development. This programme, developed and implemented by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia – UKM), hosted by University of the Philippines System, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia, with the support of the ASEAN Secretariat.
‘Good education changes everything’
The participants will embarked on a 4 week knowledge-driven, volunteerism journey with week 1 and 4 hosted at the University of the Philippines System while week 2 and 3 engaging with local communities in implementing Education Development activities in Los Banos.
The following will be funded: round-trip fare, materials and transportation on site, accommodation and food during the programme. You will only need to ensure that your passport has a validity of 6 months and meets visa requirements.

The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) is a Malaysian owned programme under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia, developed and implemented by the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia – UKM) as the permanent secretariat. Its strategic partners are Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Ministry of Education – Malaysia, the ASEAN Secretariat. In every host country where an AYVP programme is implemented, AYVP also works with local strategic partners such as government institutions, NGOs, and Universities.
Note – Originally scheduled for August 2020, the new tentative dates for AYVP Philippines 2020 are 1 – 27 August 2021; however, these dates will be reassessed in December, subject to the developments of global efforts to halt the spread of COVID-19.
