Deadline: 28th February 2025 | Bringing together the next generation of leaders and changemakers from Singapore and the Southeast Asia region who are eager to play an active role in thinking about and shaping tomorrow.
This Programme is a capability building, knowledge exchange, and networking platform for next-generation leaders and changemakers to jointly think about tomorrow, anticipate global challenges, and explore recommendations to make an impact on society.
Programme Focus:
As we face more ambiguous, complex, and interconnected issues in the world today, the critical mindset and skillsets to anticipate wicked problems, explore multiple futures, and conceptualise innovative solutions would be key priority for our next-generation leaders.
For the second run of this Programme in 2025, the focal concern is Reimagining the Future of Education.
There are two Programme Milestones that participants can expect from this Programme:
- Online Futures Thinking Workshop (27 – 29 May 2025)
- Regional Learning Journey to the Philippines (20 – 25 July 2025)
Learning Outcomes
The Programme Objectives are to:
- Expose participants to the complex and crucial global governance and public policy challenges of the future that cannot be solved by any one individual, organisation, society or country alone;
- Equip participants with futures thinking and foresight methodology, and empower them to apply these skillsets and exercise their creativity to reimagine and shape the future of their countries and the region;
- Provide participants with the opportunity to engage with distinguished thought leaders from Public, Private and People sectors in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region;
- Create space for and facilitate meaningful dialogues between counterparts from the region to enhance mutual understanding; and
- Establish a strategic network for next-generation leaders from Singapore and the Southeast Asia region to nurture an Alumni Community.
Target Audience:
This Programme will be useful for:
- Mid-level managers in Public, Private or People sectors;
- Emerging Non-Government Organisation (NGO) and Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) leaders and changemakers who are creative, innovative and eager to contribute to shape the future of society
Eligibility:
To be selected for the Programme, participants must:
- Be between the ages of 25 to 35 at the start of the Programme;
- Be a citizen and resident of one of the eleven Southeast Asian nations: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam. Applicants living outside of the eleven eligible countries will not be considered eligible to apply;
- Be fluent in written and spoken English;
- Be an emerging leader in government, civil society, or the private sector, with demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills;
- Possess at least 5 years of relevant professional experience at the time of application;
- Commit to attend all programme milestones, which are the Online Futures Thinking Workshop in May, and the Regional Learning Journey to the Philippines in July. Participants who do not complete the programme milestones may need to pay the full programme fees;
- Be eligible for visa and travel documentation to the Philippines;
- Be self-directed and able to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting.
