The U.S. Embassy in Lao PDR is excited to announce the YSEALI Agri-business Incubator, a fully funded regional workshop focused on identifying and developing sustainable Agri-business opportunities in ASEAN.
The workshop will be held during March 2–6, 2020 in Champasak, Laos, and it is open to all active YSEALI members (Join today)
Through classwork, site visits, and roundtable discussions, participants will actively learn how to identify Agri-business opportunities, interact with potential customers, and develop sustainable and environmentally sound ventures.
The coursework will be delivered by subject matter experts, trade professionals, industry leaders, and practitioners.

Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop participants will achieve the following outcomes:
- Develop a project plan for start-up, existing micro-enterprise, or other venture that promotes sustainable, small-scale agriculture in participant home country
- Identify and demonstrate increased awareness of value chain linkages and commercial and the how they may be applied to the participant project plan
- Demonstrate use of business ideas that enhance competitiveness and promote more effective and efficient marketing of farm products.
Eligibility:
If you have an idea for an agribusiness venture or have already started one and want to learn how to scale it, this workshop if for you.
- Eligible candidates must be registered YSEALI members between the ages of 20 and 30 years old and a citizen and current resident in one of the 11 YSEALI countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam).
- Have relevant experience and/or interest in areas social enterprises, agri-business, entrepreneurship
- Passionate about building communities and have a keen interest in building a network through collaboration and partnership with other Southeast Asian countries;
- Must be able to participate fully throughout the entire program from March 2-6, 2020 (includes travel days)
