Deadline: 20th July 2023 | The Prize is awarded annually to citizens and organizations regardless of their country of residence, nationality, gender, etc. The selection of the Laureates of the Prize is made from 6 regions of the world: the CIS, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and North Africa, North and South America, Sub-Saharan Africa.

The We Are Together International Prize is an initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to celebrate the power of human connection and solidarity during the global health crisis. The prize aims to recognize and reward individuals, groups, organizations, and communities that have demonstrated exceptional acts of kindness, courage, creativity, and compassion in response to the pandemic.

The prize is open to anyone from any country, age, gender, or background. You can submit your story in any format: video, audio, photo, text, or a combination of these. The story should showcase how you or your group have helped others cope with the challenges and impacts of COVID-19, such as:

  • Providing essential services and support to vulnerable people
  • Promoting health and safety measures and awareness
  • Innovating solutions and adapting to new realities
  • Strengthening social cohesion and community resilience
  • Advocating for human rights and social justice
  • Fostering global solidarity and cooperation

Benefits:

  • A cash award of $10,000 for each of the 10 winners
  • A certificate of recognition from UNDP and WHO
  • A feature on the We Are Together website and social media platforms
  • An invitation to participate in a global online event to showcase their stories and interact with other winners and partners
