The EDGE Fellowship 2026 supports early-career conservationists in implementing real-world projects focused on Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) species. Over a 28-month period, fellows receive funding, training, mentorship, and the chance to build their leadership in biodiversity protection.

Eligibility:
• National of (or resident in) a country where your chosen EDGE species occurs
• Less than 10 years of paid conservation experience
• Project must target a species on the official 2026 EDGE list

Description:
Fellowship runs from January 2026 to May 2028. It includes two in-person training courses in the UK: a four-week Conservation Tools Course and a two-week Conservation Impact Course. Fellows lead two-year field-based conservation projects under ZSL’s guidance.
