The CIVICUS Youth Action Team (YAT) is a dynamic, youth-led advisory group that works within the CIVICUS global alliance to champion civic engagement and youth participation. As a member, you’ll co-lead strategies that amplify youth voices and strengthen grassroots activism worldwide.
Description:
The Youth Action Team is a decision-making body that helps shape CIVICUS’ youth engagement agenda. Members co-create initiatives, influence policies, and ensure youth perspectives are represented in global civil society spaces. The role is both strategic and hands-on, offering a chance to collaborate on real projects that impact civic spaces worldwide.
Eligibility:
• Aged 18–30 by 31 December 2025
• Actively engaged in civic or social justice work at a local or regional level
• Experience in youth leadership or social movement networks
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per month for virtual work and attend one in-person week-long meeting
• Fluent in English and comfortable working across time zones
• Affiliated with a civil society group or organisation (formal or informal)
• Open to applicants from Southeast Asia (excluding countries already represented such as Mexico, Zimbabwe, Zambia)
