The Diana Award honors young individuals aged 9-25 who make profound social or humanitarian contributions. Nominees are evaluated based on sustained commitment, vision, social impact, inspirational leadership, and their service journey. The award emphasizes the importance of youth leadership and encourages young changemakers to continue their work. The nomination process is rigorous, ensuring that the recipients have demonstrated exceptional dedication and impact in their communities.

Eligibility criteria for nominees:

  • Age Requirement: Nominees must be between 9 and 25 years old.
  • Duration of Engagement: The nominee should have been actively engaged in their cause for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Nomination Source: Individuals cannot nominate themselves; nominations must be made by adults who know the young person in a professional capacity.
  • Impact and Leadership: Nominees should demonstrate significant social impact, leadership, and an ability to inspire others.
  • Service Journey: The nominee’s commitment to their cause is also a key factor, showing a clear service journey and vision.

Key Dates:

  • Nominations for the 2024 Diana Award will open in May 2024 and close in August 2024. For email reminders please register here.
  • All nominators will be contacted in October 2024 with the result of their nomination for the 2024 Diana Award.
  • The Virtual 2024 Diana Award Ceremony will take place on 5 December 2024, followed by the announcement of The 2024 Diana Award Roll of Honour.
  • Successful Diana Award recipients will be invited to attend Virtual Networking Events in January 2025. Certificates will also be mailed during this time.
