The AI Societal Impact Lab Autumn 2026 Fellowship is for emerging thinkers interested in the social and political implications of artificial intelligence. It is particularly suited to recent graduates and early-career researchers interested in AI governance, ethics, regulation and wider societal impact.
Eligibility:
- Primarily aimed at recent graduates in the social sciences and humanities and early-career researchers
- Applicants from other fields, including STEM and the arts, are also encouraged
- Previous experience working on AI is welcome but not required
- Applicants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds are encouraged
Description:
The Fellowship is a fully remote, 8–10 week programme beginning in mid to late September 2026.
Fellows are expected to commit around four hours per week, including a weekly group call and individual project work.
Participants will explore the societal implications of emerging AI technologies, collaborate with other Fellows and develop their own analysis around AI and society.
