Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center and UNFPA in support of APA , ARROW, IPPF, SheDecides, YouthLEAD will organize a regional forum of young people in the region with around 40 young people between 18-29 representing countries of Asia Pacific Region to focus on ICPD25. (ICPD stands for the International Conference on Population and Development,)
The regional forum will serve to strengthen young people’s understanding of the linkages between the ICPD and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, enhance integration of population dynamics into development planning and highlight the role of young people in advocating for governments to lead on implementing the ICPD.
The discussion in forum will focus on the status of the government commitment and implementation of ICPD, particularly in recent years since the SDGs.
