The ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme is a global initiative that empowers young changemakers to lead digital development projects in their communities. Organised by the International Telecommunication Union in partnership with Huawei, the programme supports youth-led ideas that promote digital inclusion and innovation.
Selected young leaders will receive funding, mentorship, and international exposure to implement projects aligned with global digital development goals. It’s a great opportunity for passionate youth who want to make a meaningful impact through technology.
Eligibility:
• Aged 18–28 years old
• Open to applicants from around the world (including Brunei)
• Passionate about digital development and community impact
• Have a project idea focused on digital inclusion, innovation, or connectivity
Description:
The programme runs from 2026 to 2027 and supports a cohort of young leaders working on digital development initiatives. Participants will receive guidance from global experts while implementing their own projects that address challenges such as digital access, digital skills, and inclusive connectivity.
Throughout the programme, participants will join a global youth network, receive mentorship, and engage in international events connected to digital transformation and sustainable development.
