Overview
The UN FAO World Food Day Poster Contest invites youth aged 5 to 19 from around the world to create original artwork based on the 2025 theme: “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future.” It’s a chance to use creativity to spark global conversations on food systems and sustainability.

Eligibility

  • Open to children and youth aged 5–19, from any country

  • Parental or guardian consent is required for minors

Description
Participants submit one poster that reflects the theme using any visual medium—drawing, painting, sketching, or digital tools. Photographs are not allowed. AI tools can only be used for light editing or inspiration, not for creating the main image. Posters may include minimal text (max 25 words or 100 characters) but must avoid personal info, logos, or photos.

Benefits

  • 15 finalists per age category receive certificates of distinction

  • Top 3 winners per category receive certificates and surprise gift bags

  • Winning posters will be showcased globally by FAO’s outreach platforms
