In 2024, IISS is inviting two Visiting Fellows to join its Asia office in Singapore.
Programme Highlight: Since 2016, the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue Southeast Asian Young Leaders’ Programme has been a pivotal platform for enhancing regional representation and diversity in strategic discussions. It annually sponsors 40 emerging talents from various sectors—military, government, academia, journalism, and business—to participate in the Dialogue and engage in crucial security discussions.
Requirements:
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Strong background in a relevant research area.
- Future engagement plans in security through scholarship, service, politics, or journalism.
- Citizenship in an ASEAN member state, Pacific Island state, or Timor-Leste.
- In the early- to mid-stage of your career.
Benefits:
- Monthly stipend of $5,300 SGD.
- Covered travel expenses and accommodation.
- Physical presence in Singapore required (remote fellowship not available).
