The EE 30 Under 30 programme by the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) celebrates young changemakers using environmental education (EE) to build a more sustainable and just world. Open to applicants worldwide, this recognition highlights diverse leaders creating real impact in their communities.


Eligibility:

  • Must be 30 years old or younger as of 12th May 2025

  • Open to individuals from any country

  • Must be using environmental education to address sustainability, resilience, or civic engagement

  • Should show leadership—through innovation, inclusivity, or community outreach

  • Nominations must be submitted in English (fluency not required)


Description:

Since 2016, EE 30 Under 30 has recognised over 270 individuals from 50+ countries. Past awardees include educators, artists, scientists, and advocates working at all levels—from grassroots to global. This programme uplifts new voices in environmental education, especially those reaching underserved communities.

How to Apply:

  1. Complete the online nomination form (self-nominations welcome)

  2. Record a short introduction video (max 90 seconds)
