Overview
Princeton in Asia (PiA) offers immersive, one- or two-year fellowships that place early-career professionals in host organisations across Asia. Fellows work on meaningful projects in sectors like education, environment, public health, and more—building cross-cultural understanding and valuable professional experience.

Eligibility

  • Open to applicants of any nationality.

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree by summer 2026 (master’s degree holders are eligible too).

  • Not open to applicants with terminal/professional degrees (e.g. PhD, MD, JD).

  • Must be able to demonstrate how they contribute to U.S.–Asia exchange.

  • Visa eligibility may depend on the placement country.

Description
Fellows are placed in full-time roles at host organisations across Asia, where they become employees of the host (not PiA). The placements last one or two years and span a wide range of fields—education, research, sustainability, arts, health, and more. Princeton in Asia provides ongoing support including pre-departure training, orientation, mentorship, and access to country advisors to help fellows adapt and thrive in their new environments.
