Overview
Princeton in Asia (PiA) offers immersive, one- or two-year fellowships that place early-career professionals in host organisations across Asia. Fellows work on meaningful projects in sectors like education, environment, public health, and more—building cross-cultural understanding and valuable professional experience.
Eligibility

Open to applicants of any nationality.

Must have a bachelor’s degree by summer 2026 (master’s degree holders are eligible too).

Not open to applicants with terminal/professional degrees (e.g. PhD, MD, JD).

Must be able to demonstrate how they contribute to U.S.–Asia exchange.

Visa eligibility may depend on the placement country.
Description
Fellows are placed in full-time roles at host organisations across Asia, where they become employees of the host (not PiA). The placements last one or two years and span a wide range of fields—education, research, sustainability, arts, health, and more. Princeton in Asia provides ongoing support including pre-departure training, orientation, mentorship, and access to country advisors to help fellows adapt and thrive in their new environments.
