This annual contest celebrates how light influences science, nature, culture, and everyday life. It’s open to photographers of all skill levels from around the world—including Brunei.
Eligibility:
• Open to individuals aged 13 and above
• All nationalities welcome
• Photos must be original and related to the theme of light
Description:
Organised by SPIE, the contest invites entries that creatively showcase the role of light in the world—from optics and technology to natural beauty and human connection. Images will be judged on creativity, relevance to the theme, and visual impact. Each participant can submit up to two images.

• 2nd Prize: USD 1,000

• People’s Choice Award: USD 500
