The theme of this year’s summit is economic empowerment. The ASEAN region is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Youth under the age of 35 – who represent 65% of the population of ASEAN – hold tremendous potential to fuel sustainable economic growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship in their own communities and across the region and the globe.
Throughout our high-energy, three-day Summit, 150 YSEALI alumni will be joined by top experts and mentors from around the world to explore this theme through dialogue, site visits, networking, and collaborative solution-building. But that’s not all: participants will also build new leadership skills, enjoy cultural activities, build enduring professional connections and friendships, and much more!
The YSEALI Summit is open to YSEALI Alumni only.
This means that, to be eligible, applicants must have participated in at least one of the following programs:

YSEALI regional workshops

YSEALI academic & professional Fellows program

YSEALI Seeds for the Future small grants competition

YSEALI Academy

Be 18-35 years of age at the time of application and Summit (i.e., must be 18 years old by 16 October 2022 and must be under 35 years old on 9 December 2022).

Be a citizen and resident of: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, or Vietnam. You must currently live in one of these countries to be eligible.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Currently have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity, or plan to have one by 1 November 2022.

Have been vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus (i.e., at minimum two doses of a two-dose vaccine or at minimum one dose of a one-dose vaccine, with official documentation. Participants are also highly encouraged to receive a booster dose if available).
