ASEAN Rising Leaders Program: Prevent Violence, Promote Peace

Deadline: 7th April 2023 | An eight-day regional training aiming to empower rising community leaders to promote public awareness in preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) with a focus on Women, Peace and Security. The program will equip participants with knowledge and skills in understanding social identity, conducting social analysis, managing and transforming conflict, mainstreaming gender dimension in P/CVE and facilitating intergroup dialogue for social changes. Participants will also engage in co-creation of digital content and utilize media platforms for campaigns to promote public awareness in P/CVE nationally and regionally.

1. Resident citizen of an ASEAN member state;
2. Between the ages of 18-30 years;
3. Experience with working on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and Women, Peace & Security (WPS) issues;
4. Strong presentation and communication skills in English;
5. Established networking channels in relevant communities (socio-cultural, educational, faith-based, etc.);
6. Active contributor or rising influencer on social media;
7. Experience in digital content creation is a plus;
8. Women are highly encouraged to apply.
