Overview
The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) is a fully funded fellowship hosted by the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It brings together mid-career leaders from around the world who are working to tackle systemic inequality across social, economic, and political domains.
Eligibility

Mid-career professionals with a minimum of seven years of real-world experience addressing inequality or related issues

Demonstrated leadership, commitment to equity, and a clear vision for social impact

Residential track applicants must meet LSE’s admission criteria for the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science (typically a 2:1 degree or equivalent) and English language requirements

Non-Residential track applicants should also have strong experience; an undergraduate degree is recommended, though exceptional professional experience may be considered

Current students must complete any ongoing degree before the fellowship begins in September 2026
Description
The fellowship offers two tracks:

Residential track: Fellows spend a year in London pursuing the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science while also participating in fellowship modules

Non-Residential track: Fellows remain in their home countries to carry out social impact work while joining online and in-person learning modules
Both tracks focus on deepening understanding of inequality and building strategies for real-world change. Fellows also join a lifelong global community of leaders committed to equity.
